Style School is about your willingness to try something new, grow, challenge yourself, defy ageism, and avoid staying stuck in a fashion rut!
This latest Style Coaching features two women of each Energy Type. I offer feedback on their style, explore their secondary Energy Type, and show how fall and winter trends can be personalized for each woman. Four of my guests also receive an outfit recommendation (complete with pictures!) that incorporates these trends in a way that honors their secondary Type.
Style School is not “Trends School”—most women don’t care about being trendy just for the sake of it. However, we do live in a world that introduces new styles twice a year: spring/summer and fall/winter. That’s why Style School is here! We help you incorporate these popular styles into a look that is current, true to your Energy Type, and uniquely you.
Trends vs. Style
Trends are different from your personal style. They are a medium for discovering more about who you are and what makes you feel beautiful. When you explore the variety that trends offer, you learn how to adapt them harmoniously with your Energy Type.
What’s On the Call
See how I’m incorporating current trends into my Type 3/4 style. Today, I’m feeling “quiet luxury” with a simple drop pearl necklace, a faux leather jacket, and bright black cherry velveteen pants.
I remind you that the best way to determine your secondary Type is by tuning into the nuances in your preferences.
As we bring on each of our live guests, pay close attention to their styling elements. Notice how they work with trends to honor their unique Energy Types. This is how you turn trends into personal style!
Check out our DYT Online Store and notice what jewelry pieces you are drawn to. That could give you insight into your secondary.

Type 1:
- (6:04) Marie thinks she knows her secondary Type and is confident in her choices. We review her bright, animated outfits and notice that her clean, structured pieces hint at her secondary 4 energy. I suggest an outfit that perfectly captures her 1/4 expression with sleek lines and playful touches.
- (15:22) Becky is still unsure about her secondary Type and expresses concern about dressing “too young” for her age. I help her embrace her vibrant Type 1/3 nature by leaning into her true energy. She lights up when we put together an outfit that honors both her playful and dynamic sides.
Type 2:
- (24:50) Jennifer has embraced her Type 2 with a secondary 1 and is exploring new color options. I suggest an outfit featuring a darker Type 2 black cherry shade paired with light accessories to complement her fun and gentle nature. She’s excited to consider adding this fresh color palette to her wardrobe.
- (29:58) Suzanne suspects she’s a Type 2/4, favoring clean lines and structure. I suggest a slight hair tweak to add a bit of asymmetry and recommend a one-piece outfit that combines softness and defined lines. This blend of elements perfectly expresses her Type 2/4 style.
Type 3:
- (37:12) Letha seeks clarity on her secondary Type and discovers she’s a 3/1. I encourage her to bring in more variety and movement while offering an outfit suggestion that balances her bold energy with playfulness. We also discuss adding texture and flair to her hair to match her vibrant style.
- (46:18) Shaylia debates her secondary and leans toward a 3/4 after exploring her tailored, structured wardrobe. I recommend a “boho chic” outfit in azure blue, with bold patterns and wide-leg jeans that embrace her dynamic energy. She realizes how small tweaks, like rolling up her sleeves, can make a big difference.
Type 4:
- (54:34) Nenah is a Type 4/2 and has been refining her style over the years. I suggest shortening her hair for more defined lines and recommend a high-contrast outfit to enhance her bold elegance. We discuss how maintaining her Type 4 structure with hints of softness best expresses her secondary.
- (1:01:24) Carol explores her secondary Type and confirms she is a 4/3. I recommend an outfit that incorporates texture and bold shapes, along with a daring lip color to balance her features. She’s ready to embrace her true nature and let her style reflect it fully.
You get dressed every day, so why not make it an opportunity to express who you truly are?
