What makes a dress a Type 1 summer dress? I’m so glad you asked!
Dresses are the perfect style for a Type 1 to wear! Summer dresses are easy and convenient. You only have to choose the dress—no multiple items needed! And when you get the elements right, you will love wearing dresses all summer long!
You’ll want to pick dresses with flounce, fun ruffles, exciting patterns like florals, and fun shapes. Use your Style Guide to make sure the colors are perfect Type 1.
Any secondary Type considerations?
- Type 1/2—You’ll love a dress that has a little more flow, multiple layers of ruffles, and more of a bell curve. More fun details like multiple gold buttons or smaller florals.
- Type 1/3—You’ll love a dress with a deeper V-neck and more textured fabrics like denim, crepe, or twill. And more dynamic patterns like animal prints or large florals.
- Type 1/4 —You’ll love a dress with one exciting design element. Either the pattern is bold, or you have an exciting design line, like an A-symmetrical skirt or a crossover color like hot pink or royal blue. Don’t be afraid of simplicity; a colorful shift would be perfect. Also, a sleeker material may be better for you.
